After countless attempts to quit smoking, Jim finally managed to kick his habit this year. How did he manage it?

The story

Jim started smoking almost twenty years ago. He has a young family and a non-smoking wife who encouraged him to quit. Recently, he spotted an ad for Nicorette/Nicoderm CQ “What’s Your Why” campaign for GlaxoSmithKline. He immediately thought of his family, and what kind of future he could have if he wasn’t a smoker.

The solution

He decided he was going to stop smoking for good, for them. With the help of Nicorette and some will power, he managed to kick the habit for good. He wasn't alone either; as Nicorette's powerful campaign connected on an emotional level with thousands of smokers nationwide.

The results

The multichannel campaign, drove engagement by increasing following on Facebook and Twitter. It also included a supportive online community where quitters shared their ‘why’s’. We also earned industry recognition, bringing home top honors at the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM) Tempo Awards in 2015.
